This Recruitment Privacy Policy describes A1 Businesses Ltd. practices for collecting, storing, and processing your personal data during the recruitment process, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applies to all candidates. From the latest data protection regulations (GDPR) our legal basis for processing your data will be in the legitimate interest in using the information that you supply to us in order to process your job application and to provide you with information which may be of use.

Processing data relating to criminal convictions and offences
Personal data relating to criminal convictions and offences will only be processed where authorised by applicable laws. A criminal record check may be carried out on recruitment or transfer where authorised by applicable laws and only with respect to relevant roles in the LSL Group. If such a check is to be conducted, you will be clearly notified and advised as to why this is applicable.

We employ security measures which aim to protect the information provided by you from access by unauthorised persons and against unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction or damage.

Where you apply for a role with us we may disclose or share your personal information with group companies or our service providers in order to process your application. They are required to take appropriate security measures to protect your personal information and process your personal data only for specified purposes and in accordance with our instructions.
Data Retention
Your personal data will be retained until the end of the employment application process plus a reasonable period thereafter. If your job application is successful and you accept a position, the personal data collected during the recruitment process will be added to your human resources file and retained for the duration of your employment.
We will retain your personal data whilst you continue to be employed by us and for at least seven years thereafter, for legal, regulatory and accounting purposes. If we need to retain your personal data for longer, we will take into consideration the potential risks in continuing to store your data against why we might need to keep it. In some circumstances we might anonymise your personal data so it is not associated with you, and we may then use this information indefinitely.
Where you apply for a role with us if your application is unsuccessful, we will retain your personal information for a period of 6 months after we have informed you of our decision so that we can show that we have not discriminated against candidates on prohibited grounds. We will retain your personal data on our file for a further period of 18 months after we have informed you of our decision so that we can consider you for future vacancies. If you would prefer we did not, please email us at recruitment@a1businesses.co.uk You can also request to withdraw your details at anytime and thereafter your data will be fully anonymised for further protection.
Your Rights and Choices
You may access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You may also withdraw your consent, or object to the processing of your personal data when based on our legitimate interests. Policy Changes
